Well, it’s Halloween folks, which also means that it’s that time of year again when San Francisco‘s Spoke Art gallery presents it’s annual group art exhibit paying tribute to the work of celebrated filmmaker, Wes Anderson.  This year over 80 different visual artists working in various disciplines come together yet again to offer their own unique spins on the films of an auteur who has one of the most recognizable aesthetics of all time.  So far, we’re already seeing some pretty top notch contributions with a number of works paying tribute to Anderson‘s latest masterpiece, and one of the strongest films of his career to date, Grand Budapest Hotel.

As in previous years, the openings — there will be one on both Friday and Saturday nights — will feature a costume contest for those sporting costumes inspired by the director’s films.  More than a simple art exhibit, the opening is a celebration which is free to attend and a number of the artists will also be present, so if you’re in the area, try and make time to stop in.  Plus, Spoke Art has recently restocked this sweet collection of rings.

Located in Seattle, Dead C is the founder/editor, as well as the principal writer and photographer, of Monster Fresh. Creating the site in 2007, he did so with a specific dream in mind. Unfortunately, being a muscle relaxer-fueled fever dream, it's hard to recall all of the details. "I remember that my mom was there, but it wasn't actually her in the dream, it was actually 70s heart throb, Jan Michael Vincent. And everything took place here, in this room... but it wasn't actually here... it was different. The colors were washed out and, for some reason, there was a raccoon kicking it with us and it was wearing a holographic monocle."
