STAR WARS mimobot Series 5 GIVEWAWAY!

Alright you nerdy bastards, we’re giving away some more free shit and this time it’s targeted just for you computer users and Star Wars fans  (So… basically, almost everybody everybody these days).  Just by the image above, you may have already assumed that the giveaway involves designer USB flash drives… and you’d be right.  We are picking 2 separate winners to receive a 2 gig model of the Star Wars series 5 Mimobots, but there are few more slight details to it.

Here, watch this video and then read on to find out more about the products and how to win one for yourself.

The Mimoco company was founded in 2005 and has been reinventing the world of Flash Drives ever since.   Their character themed Mimobots balance functionality with collectibility, of which the Star Wars themed units are among their most successful.  Mimoco has just released SERIES 5, the latest in the Star Wars line, and have offered us the opportunity to hold a contest/giveaway, which will provide two winners with an option to select a 2g model of their choice from the new series.

Out of the new series, 2 are redesigned Mimobots from earlier series (R2D2 and the Stormtrooper) while 2 are characters are being offered for the first time ever (Obi-Wan and the Jawa).  Here are some images and details about each from the press release.  Jump ahead if you don’t give a shit and you just want to find out how to enter.

The completely redesigned Stormtrooper Unmasked MIMOBOT features a removable helmet revealing either Luke Skywalker or Han Solo beneath. Just as their “borrowed” uniforms provided perfect cover for the young heroes during the daring Death Star rescue, these Stormtrooper USB flash drives provide up to 16GB of “armored” protection for your digital life. Stormtrooper Unmasked MIMOBOT will be offered as a blind assortment character, with a 50% chance of uncovering either Luke or Han when the MIMOBOT helmet cap is removed. (Here’s a hint: Luke is the one who’s “a little short for a Stormtrooper”).

Also back by popular demand is R2-D2, the astromech droid favored by two generations of Skywalker. The re-imagining of the fan-favorite character is even more detailed than the original Artoo MIMOBOT USB flash drive, thanks to improvements in Mimoco’s “space-age” cap design technology. One of only four major characters to appear in all six STAR WARS films, the plucky little droid was instrumental in helping transport plans of the original Death Star to the Rebel fleet at Yavin IV. This loyal R2-D2 USB companion will gladly transport and protect any other vital data he receives, with no need for a restraining bolt.

A pair of brown robe-clad inhabitants of Tatooine, Jawa and Obi-Wan are the newest characters to join the MIMOBOT collection. Jawas – the techno-scavengers who nearly fried dear Artoo – know good electronics when they see them.

Coming in at the rear but always leading his troops, Obi-Wan joins the collection via the first STAR WARS MIMOBOT community vote. The classic Obi-Wan Kenobi (as performed by Sir Alec Guiness) narrowly beat out an Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot as the Audience Choice favorite. Greedo and a Tusken Raider (AKA a Sand Person) too were defeated by the wise and powerful Jedi Knight, who can now store data as the Obi-Wan MIMOBOT USB flash drive.

MIMOBOT designer USB flash drives are available in 2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB memory capacities ($29.95, $39.95, $59.95, $89.95 respectfully) and are bundled with preloaded digital extras to enrich one’s personal desktop experience. STAR WARS MIMOBOT Series 5 includes exclusive STAR WARS-themed wallpapers, screensavers, icons, and avatars. MimoByte™ sound software rounds out the desktop suite and plays character-specific STAR WARS sound clips from the film’s master audio tracks.

HOW TO ENTER

Okay, enough of the bullshit!  Let’s get down to business.  This contest is pretty easy to enter and remember, we’ll choose 2 winners so your chances aren’t bad.

Step 1:

Just click “Become A Fan” on our Monster Fresh Facebook page by linking through HERE.

Step 2:

You just need to come up with a concept for a Star Wars related product.  There are a ton of them out there so be original.  The best and/or worst ideas (probably one and the same) will be selected as the winners

We love the Mimobots but, in a seriousness, they’ll throw a Star Wars logo on just about anything these days.  There’s a ton of bullshit out there already so be entries must be original ideas that don’t exist.  The Tauntaun sleeping bag is a great idea, but it already exists folks.  We’re looking for creativity so don’t be afraid to enter something ridiculous or terrible like a Darth Maul double-sided Light-saber dildo (except don’t because I already came up with that one).

Go crazy.  Get wacky.  Be as detailed as you want, or not..  Whatever’s cool with us.

Step 3:

Post your entry in the comment section of the Facebook discussion topic provided specifically for this contest.
[Link to entry form HERE]

Entrants will be judged on creativity and, somewhat arbitrarily, based on the one that we just like the most.

That’s it, jerks.  It’s pretty simple and you can enter as many times as you’d like.
Contest will start today, April 9th, and run until midnight on Saturday, April 17th.

May the force be-
Actually, you know what?  Fuck that!  Just come up with something clever.

  1. I’m sure you’ve realized that you just missed the deadline, and barely at that. Please remain a fan on the Facebook page. I’m about to throw up another contest for something completely unrelated that you’ll probably have no interest in.

    Thanks for visiting the site.
