Admittedly with all the crapola thats come out over the last eh 3 years I've fallen off. The point of this ramble is he thinks "Tennenbaums" and "Aquatic" are barely watchable and that in both film was trying way too hard to come off as legit. I think 'Bottle Rocket' is the best, he says 'Rushmore'. I think we're both right. I recently spoke with my brother, the only person who watches more movies (bad ones too) than I do. I tried to rent it when it was first released and I can't remember anything memorable about it, except that it wasn't memorable. Maybe there's something there. In other "filmmakers that I thought could do no wrong but looks like they're gonna prove me wrong in the worst way" news, the new Wes Anderson movie looks likes a pile of shit. N o big names means they'll have to focus on filmmaking. I use a few of their films as reference for perfection in pacing, storytelling, plot twists, and the ability to immerse yourself in their world. I liked the Lady Killers.
